What you're looking at here is a photo of our sky: the Milky Way as a deep vertical streak, taken last night by me at about 1:04 am.
Being able to see our galaxy so fully for the first time in my life was a breathtaking experience; thinking of the vastness and size of space is simultaneously terrifying yet liberating. There's something both strange and comforting about knowing that despite the fact that we can't always see them, the stars are always there. Ever present, every single day. Our problems are small compared to the grandeur of space and mostly manufactured in our own minds, so why stress?
Nature's crazy, man.
