Wet, Windy, Dreary.
Thatâs some of the adjectives Iâd use to describe the day that was. The weather fluctuated from a pre dawn shower to muggy early morning session starting the team time trial. The fastest I am gonna see bikes go in this Nats. Progressively faster with the Menâs elite TTT coming in the last before a bunch of Mass start road races to finish the day. But by the time the top teams where out on the course the rain started to hit our hard again. But true cycling style, nothing stopped the race. It went on. Teams where drilling it on a cold dreary day. The race organisation was working tirelessly not to fall back on schedule and keeping it very safe and fair for the riders. The race hosts were on their toes as the rains dint relent. The Menâs Railways team nailed it on their home course. Rains ? What rains? Junior boys and girls and womenâs did their part. It all wrapped up with one last bunch kick at 4pm amongst the under23 boys Road race and by 4:30pm everyoneâs face at the finish line was that of relief. The day is over ! Piss pouring rains in the middle of a desert. Who wouldâve thunk !? Drenched to the undies, cold to the bone and shivering like a dog, but suffering moments like these always has a silver lining. These are arguably some of my finest images under such duress. Thank you @fujifilmxindia for the equipment that took the battering I fished out. Thank you everyone on the course for the unlimited chai to keep me warm. Tch..Tch.. back to the video edit now before I get all too sentimental and gooey.
