This week it took me TWO hours to prep all my meals. The meals taste great, the presentation is improving LOL even though it doesn’t matter! Currently my carbs are reasonably under control. I’m only snacking when I run out of food and that’s only happening when I’m in the library after hours. I’ve decided to create little snacks that will keep me away from the REF. When there’s that one noise sounding off in my head telling me to munch a WHOLE chocolate bar. I know what improvements I want to see, and that chocolate bar isn’t going to get me there. ⭐5 things I wish I knew before starting my fitness journey⭐ . I've seen people put these together, and I love reading them because they are all so different. . 🔹️Everyone starts from a different place, everyone has a different idea of what "fitness" is...everyone has a different "why" they are starting. . But there are absolutely things that, looking back...I'm like why. . Why did I do that. ...what was I thinking. . So here we goooo! . ➡️1. Start where you're at..& layer in changes. Yes, there are so many programs out there and "diet styles" I get it. But the amount of phases/diets I tried (granted, I learned alot.) But just small changes that last, would have saved me a lot of defeat...plateus...spirals...etc. . ➡️2. Cardio is NOT the answer. Yes, I love to run. And have always had a good amount of cardio in my life. BUT. Cardio does NOT shape your body. This is so hard to swallow for a lot of people (including myself) the work you do in the gym, building muscle, really building composition in your body. Totally wish I understood this earlier. The "skinny fat" phase is always a tough one to break. . ➡️3. There are NO BAD FOODS. Woah, this was a tough one. All of the hype around "carbs, sugar, fat...makes you fat." No. Eating too much makes you fat. 🤷‍♀️ but yes, I've tried it all...no carb, clean, no sugar. Dont get me wrong..there are BETTER foods. Sure. But understanding caloric intake and balance...life changing. . ➡️4. LIFT HEAVY. Totally one of those girls that thought, lifting weights makes you bulky...or manly. SO FALSE. First, understanding HOW MUCH work actual muscle development takes? And THEN for you TO ACTUALLY see it? (Aka lose the residual fat layer) Hard work. But, also not lifting HEAVY enough will NOT shape your body...it takes tearing, recovering and consistency to even FIND curve or shape in your body. . ➡️5. Rest & Recovery DOESNT hold you back. It's quite the opposite. I cant tell you HOW many times I've dropped weight just by...sleeping. taking 2 days off. Etc. Your body NEEDS the space to recover and build. Without the rest, you'll see inflammation, water rentention...list goes on. . & that's one long caption. Haha! Fun to reflect ⭐

Here’s a little transformation for you. The first picture was taken two days ago and the second picture was taken in 2012. • In 2012 my routine was to eat two granola bars for breakfast, a small Cesar salad for lunch, broccoli for dinner and half a quart of @edys double fudge brownie ice cream for dessert. For exercise I would run at least a mile a day or do 300 jumping jacks in my dorm room. • Fast forward a few months my boyfriend at the time reintroduced me to the gym. I was scared of it because I thought skinny was sexy and I didn’t want to look manly. • I found inspiration on instagram of what I wanted to look like and that helped me become more comfortable with the gym. @paigehathaway and @jessicaarevalo_ we’re my two main inspirations and today I still find motivation from them both. • Lifting weights has been amazing for me and Instagram has changed my life. That’s why I post what I do, in hopes that I can help someone the way I was helped. I love you guys and thank you for your support.

Das einzige was ein Kind braucht meiner Meinung nach sind die Eltern oder Erzieher die sich mit Herzblut um die Würmchen kümmern. . Braucht ein Kind Turnunterricht in einer Turnhalle. Entscheide selbst! Ich persönlich als Vater und Trainer sage NEIN, außer das Kind möchte es gern so. Das Kind braucht den Spielplatz! Freunde , andere Kinder und die Eltern / Erziehungsberechtigter als Spiel- und Lebensbegleiter. *klettern *springen *werfen *fallen und verletzen gehört ebenso zum Lernprozess *soziales Umfeld um sich selbst und andere im Wettkampf zu erfahren und zu testen. . Nebenbei lernen wir als Eltern oder Erzieher ebenso dazu. Seit mit Herz dabei und ihr erfahrt dabei noch zusätzlich Bewegung zum alltäglichen Sport. . Ergo win , win ! . Upright rows!!! This is one of my favorite movements for hypertrophy on the lateral head of the shoulder! Theys a lot of controversy on this exercise and some may argue that it’s not healthy for your shoulder joint but I do not believe that, been doing this exercise for months now and it feels amazing! On top of it effectively hitting the lateral head of your shoulder it also gets your traps! I usually perform 3 sets of about 12-15 reps on my hypertrophy pushday. Don’t go heavy on these, load the bar up with a weight you can CONTROL! If you’re tryna get those killmonger shoulders, I recommend adding this to your routine 😉

Imagine your willpower like a glass of water. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ When you drink the entire glass of water in one sitting, it will be gone. Refilling it will take time and energy. Whereas if you just take some sips, here and there, you can refill it little bits at a time, whenever you find yourself in the kitchen already. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Willpower is very similar - when we exercise willpower for long bouts at a time, it literally runs out. And in the time it takes to refill, we often have episodes of feeling unable to control our food intake. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Example 1: You spend all day at work managing people’s expectations, trying not to rip people’s heads off, resisting the Hershey Kisses Fred always leaves on his desk…when you come home, your willpower is exhausted. Literally gone. The tougher the day at work, the more bone-dry your glass is, and the more you eat.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Example 2: You restrict yourself M-F from eating anything “bad”. No donuts at the office, only salads for lunch, low-carb at dinner, no snacking after 8, and definitely no wine. Come Friday evening your willpower glass is empty and you are THIRSTY. Cue weekend food-fest. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Sometimes, like in Example 1, you won’t be able to control what zaps your willpower on any given day. But that doesn’t mean you have zero control. Over time, your glass will get bigger - you’ll have more willpower to exert, and you’ll find ways to fill it quicker when it’s depleted. You’ll also get better at utilizing the last few drops in the bottom of the glass when another onlooker would say it’s clearly empty. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ There are also ways we can help to keep our willpower glass steadily full, and one of these ways is NOT over restricting yourself. That is like tipping your glass over and just dumping it out - you are bound to wind up thirsty again and before you make it to the kitchen to fill up your glass, you’ll have eaten your way through a bag of Cheetos.⁣⠀ ⠀ CONTINUED in comments!!!

Life is funny --- like sometimes a sick kinda funny --- but ya gotta keep rollin right... January 2018 - Multiple Sclerosis attacked my body and changed me forever May 2018 - Official MS Diagnosis showing 6+ years of previous damage May-Dec 2018 - Blurry and painful fight for my life December 2018 - Graduated with Masters in Special Education K-12 January 2019 - Neuro predicated I couldn't teach and we talked about the possibility of a wheelchair in the next year February 2019 - Said F-U to those predications and to MS I thought the day of diagnosis was going to be the most life changing day, but I was wrong. A year later, the day I decided to fight harder for myself, that was the day that changed it all. I boarded a rollercoaster that involved all things MS education, self discovery, and renewed sense of love for my new normal. From this point on, I knew that I wanted to be a part of something bigger. I found my passion was nutrition, weightlifting, and other autoimmune suffers. May 21, 2019 I earned my MS Fitness Trainer Specialist Certification. This was after earning my general CPT and pouring myself over every bit of information I could absorb to change lives. This is a day I will never forget ---- From here, the sky is the limit. See it is important to take the things that are placed in your path and decide how to move forward. Monday who? Lol it's a regular day as always but today is the last day of deload.. finished off with conventional deadlifts. decided to take a break from sumos. . I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pull this 275lbs because last time I did conventional deadlifts I was stuck at 265lbs I believe 🤔 or 255lbs I dont fucking remember lol that's how long I haven't been doing them.
