I was talking to a girlfriend today about the fact that recently, both of us have felt like we've been going through a really hard time.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ She mentioned how she's been trying to get herself to "put on her big girl pants" and just get through it, but that it hasn't really been working. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ And I feel the same.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Sometimes, you can't just force your way through the stress/anxiety/pain/hurt.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ But, you also don't have to go through it alone. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Honestly, I don't know how I would have gotten through the last few months without my fiance, my super supportive friends, and my family.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO IT ALONE. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Reach out. Ask for help. Don't be afraid to be honest about what's going on.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Sometimes that's what leads to actually getting through it ❤⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣📸 @debra_alison⁣⁣ #fnlhealth #fitnessnutritionlifestyle #healthymindandbody #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenessweek #anxietyisreal #howtodealwithstress #overwhelm #mentalhealthstruggles #itsokaytonotbeokay #balancedmind #supportsystem #reallife #biggirlpants #biggirlpantson #itsokaytoaskforhelp #womensmentalhealth #fnljournal #entrepreneurstruggles #womeninbusiness #entrepreneurlife #fempreneur #fempreneurs #selfmadewoman #womensupportwomen #supporteachother

⭐️How many times have you found yourself so stressed that you felt the world was about to end? ⭐️ How many times have you felt so lonely that even a room full of people felt like a desert? 🚨 What about eating too little or overeating because of your emotions? 🙌 Today is Mental Health Day! This day‘s objective is raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of our mental health!✨ . . 👉I used to be a professional ballet dancer, and my career led me to move to this wonderful country all by myself when I was 17 👎 I developed an eating disorder striving to be enough for my career. (Ballet dancers must be tiny!) 💃 . . 😥After realizing that I wasn’t able to sustain myself much longer in a high-judgement environment I decided to stop dancing and with that, my eating disorder ended ... Not too long after, I entered a very toxic and violent relationship that led me to doubt myself even more and destroyed all my self-worth 🎈 . . 👉We all go through messy situations and tend to let people, careers, situations destroy our mental health. 🤜WE CAN’T LET THIS HAPPEN!!! 🤛You are 100% worthy of being happy and feel in peace. Mental health starts by being conscious of the damaging factor, and reaching out for help. Help could come in many ways, books, psychologists, talking to closest friends, talking to strangers (like UBER drivers!, lol) . . Today and everyday remember that you are in control of your happiness! You have the power to change whatever is harming you! If you need talk, although I’m not a Psychologist, or a specialist - I’m here for you! - Reach out, don’t be shy ♥️ If you feel you are in a good mental state try to help others! . . 🌈 Be well, connect truly with others and strive for happiness🙌 . . . #smilingmore #healthawareness #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmonth #howtobehappy #abusiverelationship #eatingdisorderrecovery #eatingdesorderrecovery #eatingdisordersupport #bulimiarecovery #bulimiadisorder #emotionalabuse #stresseating #stressrelief #stressmanagement #howtodealwithstress #selfworthquotes #selfworthmovement #selfesteemboost #loveyourself #askfercci #behappyquotes

Sunday ☀️// went to another @johnlewisandpartners beauty event today and this one was about stress, CBD & how both link to skin. A great way of keeping stress levels in check is developing your own practices of self care - the concept of self care is sometimes romanticised but we discussed how sometimes self care can be something we find hard or don’t like.. like going on a run first thing in the morning, seeking therapy and discussing uncomfortable topics. These things do, in the long run, make us better and healthy. Some practises of self care I really love are going on walks in the middle of the day and getting some fresh air, ‘treating’ myself to a manicure or a nice meal out. A great tip I noted was how spacing out your own practises/rituals throughout the week are a great way to keep a level head. #selfcare

BURNOUT by Emily and Amelia Nagoski (sisters!) cost me some overdue fines at the library, but I’m fine with it. I wish I’d read it much earlier in my life, along with all the women I love. They tackle cultural programming, co-dependency, stress vs stress response, body-image, coping strategies, and on and on. You gotta compete the stress cycle, Friends! I took lots of notes and plan to keep them close. It’s too easy to forget new ways of thinking with the inertia of life driving us through our days. To be fair, some of the studies they cited were statistically weak and critics might call the content “pseudo-psychology” BUT most of those critics would be privileged men who benefit from the Burnout of their counterparts. So 🤷🏻‍♀️. Content can still be hugely helpful without being properly scientific. Let me know if you enjoyed this one and if it was helpful.

How do you get over with that? . . . . Personally, I have tried everything and I feel the only escape from reality to a wonderland is a good book. Someone said it right,” books are your best friend.” . P.S. It's Wednesday 😍

. HOW TO DEAL WITH STRESS🧘🏻‍♀️✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💗Practice breath work. Literally sit down and close your eyes and tell yourself: I know I’m breathing in, I know I’m breathing out. Focusing on your breath has been the #1 tool I use to calm my body down (even if my mind is not feeling calm). Controlling and being aware of your breath is so important and calms the body down INSTANTLY. 💗Put the screens away. Checking social media, replying to emails, and responding to texts can become stressful. Set apart time to put your phone away and appreciate the present moment. 💗LAUGH! Laughter is the best medicine. Laughter release stress hormones, relaxes muscles, improves blood flow, increases immune cells, and releases endorphins! 💗Do something productive. Clean your desk. write. read. Work out. cook. When you invest time in something something creative, your mind has a chance to take a break from deadlines, rules, and pressures. 💗Be positive. Make a list of what you are grateful for. acknowledge something good that happened today. Look for the silver lining. Sending love❤️ Shivani

Going back to school can be a really stressful time, especially with all the upcoming exams. That’s why I’ve made a list of 6 ways to deal with stress💓(These are the ways I deal with stress so please don’t be disheartened if they don’t work for you ❤️) 1. Take a break: If you’ve been working for hours take a break. The more you work when your tired the more stressed your going to get, so stop what your doing and rest. 2. Do something you love: To take your mind off the stress spend time doing something you love, whether that might be reading, drawing, painting etc. You’ll honestly feel so much better after. 3. Go for a walk/ spend time outside: If you’ve been inside all day, get out. Your mind will feel so much clearer after you’ve took time away from your desk. 4. Talk to someone : Try talking to someone about how you feel. That might be a trusted adult, teacher or friend. They might be able to help you and offer you some advice. 5. Think about the future: Say your working on a piece of work which you just can’t do, think to yourself, is this going to matter in the long term? If not don’t stress about it, leave the work or come back to it another day when your feeling in a much better mind set. 6. Write down your feelings: Get a piece of paper and write down what has got you feeling this way. This way you can try and find a resolve to your problems. I really hope this has helped you to find ways to help deal with stress. If you ever need to talk my DMs are always open. If you know anyone finding it hard to deal with stress, please share this post with them💗 Thank you for talking the time to read this post. Spend time w/ people who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you — work and school has been extremely overwhelming lately and sadly had to put my love for blogging on the side for a bit, but I’m slowly coming back. Luckily, I’ve been releasing all my stress everyday at the gym which is motivating me to start living a healthy lifestyle again — there’s always a positive side with every negative. Being who I am, I deal with stress in silence until I combust into little pieces and pick up those pieces by myself. But no more! 🙅🏻‍♀️ I am getting older and I need to start focusing on my mental and physical health. Stop. Get quiet. Breathe. Breathe again. And again. Slow, deep breaths... What do you feel in your body? Can you sense your heart beating? Can you feel your feet in your shoes? Do you feel your body supported by whatever is underneath you? Tune in a little deeper. How do you feel in this moment? Is there anything you're needing right now? Much of my coaching work focuses on self-awareness, because it's incredibly powerful. When you take a break from the madness to simply *be* with yourself, you can learn a lot. You can stop spinning. Hello! Today I am sharing how my songwriting partially helped me let certain negative emotions out. Unfortunately, there were a lot of them. It wasn't easy at all, at times I thought I was going mental and thought I would never be myself again. But fortunately, those times are gone! that's most important 😁 In the video I talk about how I got to write one song in particular (Breakthrough) during that difficult time. You can find a full video on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/KCsyD8-bAEI Or go to YouTube and type: how I got through my anxiety aneta volcano If you have some spare time, give it a go. Sometimes feelings happen when you don’t “want” them or expect them. And you falsely think that they are not as legit or not as wanted or needed. And you go out of your own way to control the uncontrollable. When really just embracing and letting go would save energy. 🤷‍♀️ So I wrote something about something like that: I’m walking honest But I do side track Go behind my self To watch my own back It’s ever the scary The punch is so very Poisonous like torns But sweet like a cherry I hold beauty up against the sun Then my feet start working They’re ready to run Holding breaths. Because I’m scared. Messing the image up. For something not there. But I do stop and feel. Time to forget fear and replace it with real. I’m changing my skin, it’s ready to peel. I’m stretching my heart, when my arms go round. Surrounding your vibes in a knot - sort of bound. Im saving my kisses for your sleep breathing sounds. And I’m not gonna walk cause my head’s spinning round . While at the floor I try to be. Calm and rooted as a tree. But branching out, is ever hard. There goes my mind - it’s a racer car. There is always temptation and the greener grass. But I’ll stay in the moment, not moving my ass. This is a concrete situation not fragile like glass. So I’m just gonna have to be calm and the panic will pass. #iwrite #iwrotethis #sunset #swedishnature #malmo #malm #malm #emotionsarereal #ergt #bpd #emotions #resund #resund #oresund #sverige #svensknatur #nature #natur #solnedgng #love #happiness #gratitude #joy #butterflies #howtodealwithstress #howtodealwithfear #howtobeopen #iwanttohaveagoodlife #progress #igotthis

Have you ever felt so angry or stressed that you: • -wanted to drink a whole bottle of wine or eat a whole tub of ice cream (or could not eat or drink at all)? -wanted to throw in the towel and just quit at everything? -wanted to run away or disappear for a long while? -had racing thoughts that you felt you couldn't stop (or maybe couldn't put thoughts together in a coherent way at all)? -wanted to scream at the top of your lungs at someone (or did not want to talk to anyone ever again)? -wanted to sleep all day (or did not sleep at all)? -wanted to do a little bit of retail therapy (okay, let's be real, a lot)? • If you answered yes to any of these things, I feel you, girl, and I'm here to tell you, you are NOT CRAZY and you are NOT ALONE! • Most (but really probably all) of us, have been through something ridiculously hard and felt similar to this---although the SOURCE of the anger and stress, and the WAY WE DEALT with it might have been different. • Life isn't easy and relationships aren't easy. We do the best we can in stressful times and we usually cope in the ways we've been taught (which can often include some of the unhealthy ways listed above). • But what if I told you it doesn't have to always be that way? • What if I shared with you that THIS girl learned a better way and changed my habits DESPITE the hard crap I've faced? • What if I could explain to you in a super simple way: -WHAT is happening in your body in those stressful moments and -WHAT can actually help longer-term (and not just temporarily like most of the things above)? • Would you want to hear all about it (or do you want to keep living in the unhelpful cycle)? Knowledge is power! • Leave me a comment or drop me a DM if you want me to give you all the deets on anger and stress and how to manage it, THIS week. • So much stinkin' love for you all!

Some of us that are in school are getting pretty nervous for the exam we have ahead of us for example GCSEs 2020. We may be worried that we won't get enough revision in or even be prepared for what comes next. Luckily there are a few ways to cope with exam stress. Of course, revision takes up a lot of our time and having a good revision timetable is a must but you do need a break from time to time even if that's meeting up with friends or spending time with family. Throughout the exam period and leading up to that you still need to have fun and support from others around you. It keeps you happy and helps you to focus on something other than exams and topics. Another thing that helps with stress is a hhealthy exercise routine. This not only helps with our bodies but it helps our mental health and stress levels. Exercising releases endorphins and serotonin which improves our mood. Keeping a healthy routine will make you feel better about yourself. Remember to stay hydrated too. You can also take up things like meditation and yoga. They tend to be very relaxing and good for focusing on your mind and body. There are some good routines online and apps to help. You can also keep track of when you do this so you don't forget. You can also give yourself treats and feel good food such as chocolate. Chocolate especially dark stimulates the production of endorphins in our brain. Throughout the exam period and prepping for them it is important to know you aren't alone and you need to remember to take breaks. Don't tire yourself out, get a good sleep and don't give up! - Piper💐, Photo Credit: Abi, a TWE photographer #exams #stress #advice #howtodealwithstress #help #twe #teenswithexperience

What is Self-soothing? Self-soothing is a skill used to manage overwhelming emotion. It’s the skill of committing to treating ourselves with kindness and compassion when we are in the midst of struggle. It is choosing behaviours that will help to soothe the body and mind as our distress washes over. Importantly, self-soothing is not behaviours that block out the emotion. So drugs, alcohol, and suppression are not on the menu. Instead, we want to look after ourselves while the emotion passes naturally. To do this, we can use all the senses: Sight This may be photographs of loved ones or a favourite holiday. Alternatively it could be a movie or piece of artwork that makes you feel uplifted. Walking in nature and observing your surroundings can work too. Sound Music, singing, the sound of water. Sound is a powerful tool for changing how you feel. Make your own self-soothing playlist with all your best picks for feeling calm and soothed. Touch This can be comforting textures like a super soft blanket, a favourite pillow or cuddly toy. It could also be a warm cuddle with a loved one. Human touch is a personal one but very powerful if it works for you. Taste Slowly and mindfully savouring a favourite treat can help us to feel soothed (if eating is not part a safety behaviour for you). Strong mints can provide an anchor when we want to be mindful and stay present. Smell Sense of smell is actually the quickest way to calm the body. So if you like lavender or have a scent that you associate with comfort and safeness, keep some with you. Breathing in that scent is going to help you feel safe and calm very quickly. Some of these you may use already, others might take some time to feel effective. So pick one or two and put in some practice. It is the intention of committing to take care of yourself that is key. Once you find the ones that work best for you, make sure you can access them when you might need it. You can do this by setting up a self-soothing box. Take a shoe box and fill it with lots of things that you find soothing. Read more at www.doctorjuliesmith.com

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. - John Quincy Adams . You may have noticed I haven’t been very active on social media for the past month or two. I had a huge bomb dropped on me that left me with uncertainty and caused major anxiety. I didn’t know whether I’d be able to support my family and most importantly, I felt punched in the gut. I felt powerless. It was a serious blow to the ego. . I gained back half the weight I had lost this year. I turned to junk food and stopped exercising. And I was HARD on myself for being a coach and not being able to coach myself out of the funk. . So I turned to someone else that could coach me. We are not perfect and we all need help sometimes. I realized that I just needed to be patient and get through my emotional roller coaster. . We don’t make good decisions when we’re emotional. So, how could I possibly find clarity when I’m in state of crises? . I’m now back on the upswing and starting to feel like myself again. I know that life is happening FOR me and not TO me. Every difficulty has a blessing in it. We can all use a reminder, right? Day 28 of the genealogy photo challenge ~ My Work. My work is very stressful. I am a litigation paralegal for a major commercial real estate landlord. Some days it seems like I never leave my desk. My coworkers and I get along very well and I’m grateful for the team we have. Especially as we spend so much time at work and sometimes more than with our own families. So we try to do fun things to keep our morale up. One thing I like to do is bring in all the new Oreo flavors and we have taste tests. Some are good and some are super bad. Spent the day at a training course for work but actually walked out with some great tips to apply in general life.. One of the things that really stuck to me is the importance of recognising and celebrating the ‘seemingly trivial, part of everyday life’ wins. On a daily basis, we forget to be thankful/happy about the little things. If your train was on time, if you had food to eat in the morning or even if you just had a good nights sleep.. that’s reason enough to class it as a good morning. When something ‘bad’ or ‘negative’ happens at work (or life in general), we quickly cling on to it when we should look to it as one block, part of many others that make up our life. When I was asked to pick one good thing that’s happened to me lately, I was surprised at how quickly I was able to list so many. Some being passing my nutrition exam, buying a new phone, buying a bag I’ve always wanted and planning holidays with my sister. Just the exercise of actively indulging in positive thinking (what do I have to look forward to/what goals have I recently achieved) put me in a really good mood. Give it a go and think about one positive thing that has happened to you recently. If you’d like, share below!

These days we hear more and more people talking about how stressed they are. Bram Wernsen, founder and initiator of rTMS International, shares some tips on how to deal with stress: 🔹 Keep a 'stress diary' for a few weeks by writing down the date, time and place where you experienced a lot of stress. This way you'll know what causes the stress. 🔹 Exercise more. After you have exercised, you will feel calm and relaxed again. 🔹 Say no more often. Often people don't do this because they don't want to disappoint others. If you say yes and go beyond your limits, you will immediately feel stressed. 🔹 Find out what gives you energy, such as a hobby or sports. This way your body will not be busy thinking too much, which will result in your body being less stressed. 🔹 A massage every once in awhile can also be beneficial. #stress #stresssymptoms #howtodealwithstress #rtms #rtmsinternational #mentalhealth #stresstreatment #stresscure #tips #stresstips #neuromodulation #rtmstreatment #rtmsinternational

Sometimes this little buddy likes to join me when everyone else is in bed. When he was a baby I made A LOT of sugar cookies to help deal with my stress and anxiety. I have different coping mechanisms for stress now, but I guess it’s fitting that my littlest join me for cookie decorating late at night. . #namethatshow #cookiedecorating #howtodealwithstress #latenightcookies

💁🏻‍♀️Curly hair, don’t care. Sometimes you’ve just gotta accept that sometimes your hair is going to be out of control. That goes for life too 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 LONG POST ALERT 🚨 .....………........................................... Sometimes life gets out of control and things seem like they’re not going right, they’re going wrong and you can’t seem to grab hold of any thread to try and real yourself back into a place where you’re in control again right? Who’s felt that? I know I have and I know many of my friends and family have. But how do we deal with these moments without it effecting our soul and our mental health? Well I’m here to share my advice on how to get through the shit. .......................................................... 1. Don’t broadcast the shit, don’t be that person who posts all over social media about how someone else has done you wrong because there are many people watching you that want you to fail! They thrive on seeing people unhappy. So keep your shit private!! 2. Focus daily on what IS going well. Even if it’s is something as small as reaching your 10k steps or you had a great phone call with a friend, you managed to shower today? GREAT!! Write that stuff down and be grateful for these smaller victories when the bigger stuff seems to be going wrong. 3. Tackle one thing at a time. So maybe your car broke down, your relationship ended, you lost your job, you gained 7lbs, your phone broke, you’ve developed some spots through stress and you feel like nobody gives a shit. ONE AT A TIME. Priorities! Send your friends a message asking how THEY are, ask to meet for coffee (not to moan) just to listen, let them talk, you’ll notice that they’ve got shit going on too and you’ll walk away feeling less alone! Start with one small step at a time and focus on each thing before moving onto the next. 4. Always go to bed early, sleep is so important especially when you’re stressed. 5. Eat healthy and move daily!!! It’ll make you feel better I promise. ..................................................... #health #mentalhealth #mind #life #happiness #stress #howtodealwithstress #selfie #curlyhair #brunette #selfhelp #selfdevelopment #reachout

Happy Saturday everyone! I have been struggling lately. Mentally, emotionally, which has in turn made me suffer physically. So I wana take this time to talk about stress. . Your body can react many different ways to stress. You can crave specific foods, you can retain water, you can become really moody. Your body responds to stress by releasing these stress hormones of adrenaline and cortisol, thus putting your body into that fight or flight zone. . Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can suppress your immune system, upset your digestive and reproductive systems, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, and speed up the aging process. It can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems. . So how do we fight this? There are a few coping mechanism 👉 1️⃣ Up your activity level- workout, go for a walk, do something to get those endorphins rushing and that serotonin increased. 2️⃣Engaging your senses- think about touch, smell, sight, what makes you happy? Does smelling a nice fresh cup of coffee make you feel good? How about seeing a cute puppy, volunteering? Do something that fulfills your senses. 3️⃣SLEEP! Probably the most important. Make sure you are getting 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night! This can help you wake up feeling more energized and productive. . However you deal, make sure you are making proactive steps in your life to be able to manage stress. And always remember you're not alone. If you have trouble managing your stress DM me. Now accepting new clients for health/fitness coaching and consultations are always free!

How do we become more IN-TUNE? 🌺 We need to begin by being still. 🌺 Quiet the outer world, so that the inner world might bring us sight. This in-sight is what we seek, yet we cannot have it while we are overly concerned with the outer reality. 🌺 Come from within when dealing with the outside world. . . . #goinwards #intune #intuition #consciousness #risehigher #floweroflife #bloom #openup #becomeyourhigherself #bemagical #loveflowers #5d #innerworld #innerwork #howtodealwithstress #fbf #bellagio #lasvegas #livelife #lovelife #behappy #joy #pleasureinlife #youhaveallyouranswerswithin

AVOID YOUR EMOTIONS⁣ ⁣ sometimes avoiding your emotions actually CAN be the right answer.⁣ ⁣ even though it sounds so wrong 🙈 lol⁣ ⁣ we’re always told NOT to push things down, but to deal with them right away.⁣ ⁣ but sometimes there are just TOO MANY emotions at once.⁣ ↓⁣ i’ve got a few different things going on in my life rn that are making me a little more anxious than usual.⁣ ⁣ my nervous thoughts are more intrusive than i’ve trained them to be.⁣ ⁣ which is REALLY annoying lol⁣ ⁣ it’s testing my ability to filter my brain.⁣ ⁣ because you DO have the ability to pick and CHOOSE which thoughts enter your conscious mind at every single second.⁣ ⁣ so if you’re relating REAL hard to this rn and there are too many thoughts or emotions in your brain -⁣ ⁣ you are totally allowed to just shut some DOWN.⁣ ⁣ because there’s no sense in trying to process ALL your heebie jeebies at once!⁣ ⁣ do that shit one at a time!!⁣ ⁣ you don’t try to tackle your whole to-do list in one go.⁣ ⁣ why would you try to tackle your whole BRAIN that way?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈⁣ ↓⁣ PS - it’s #InternationalSelfCareDay today. do something nice for YOU. please. 💘⁣ ⁣ PPS - i’ll be in my bathtub. 🛀🏼✨

From Brittany Cusick: I’ve spent all week trying to figure out how to write this experience and share it with you all. Because here’s the deal: I was a CBD skeptic. I don’t know why, but I had this idea in my mind of the kind of person who uses CBD and I just didn’t think I needed to be one of them. This week I was standing in a looong line at convention waiting to give the CBD products a look and learn more about them. I get anxious in long lines. In big crowds. On airplanes. At night when I’m the only one home in charge of my babies. All. The. Time. And I’m so used to what that feels like it just seems normal. But as I’m standing in that line someone was asking everyone if they wanted to give the Calming CBD roll on a try. So I said yes. She swiped some onto my wrists, I rubbed them together, went back to standing in line and chatting with friends. 3 minutes later something felt different. I checked my watch, which monitors my heart rate. I’m consistently at 100bpm or more when I’m anxious. And that’s pretty often for me. My heart rate had dropped to 81bpm during that 3 minute time frame. I’ve never had a heart rate like that in crowds. If anything, my watch alerts me that my heart rate is high and I should take some deep breaths. This is crazy to me. There are no words to describe the feeling of peace and comfort that had washed over me. I stood there on the verge of happy tears for another 20 minutes. So you better believe I bought that roll on. Because I’m 4.5 years into motherhood and I’ve never felt that calm. Monday this stuff will be available to the masses. And I can’t wait to share it with the world.

Riley says one way you can help your gut health is by going outside and playing in the dirt 🐶🐾🌸🌼🌊☀️😁 • Those are some wise thoughts! We can help repopulate our guts with good bacteria when we spend more time outdoors! • Did you know that people with pets tend to have a more diverse microbiome, and therefore a healthier gut?! • Go spend some time outdoors, gardening, playing fetch with your dog, hiking, etc. And don’t be afraid of a little dirt, it can help improve your gut health! • • • • • • • #playindirt #dogspiration #healthygut #happygut #happygut365 #spendtimeoutside #dogwisdom #wholehealth #wholebodyhealth #stressless #stressrelief #howtodealwithstress #guthealthy #guthealthmatters #getdirty #livehappy #nourishyoursoul #naturalremedies #holisticliving #healthyyou #rileywisdom #dogsofinstagram

It is #wellnesswednesday, and today I want to talk about stress and what you can do to prevent going completely off track with your wellness plan during times of stress. ⠀ ⠀ We do not have much control over stressful situations occuring like taking care of a sick family member, getting into a car accident, work stressors, children, job layoffs, etc. The tendency when these events occur is to say “forget it!” to all the wonderful, healthy behaviors we have worked so hard to maintain. But it does not need to be #AllOrNothing! There are things you DO have control over. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 1. Sleep 😴. I consider good sleep the backbone of a solid wellness plan. If all else fails, and you can focus on ONE thing, then let that thing be sleep. Getting adequate sleep in times of stress will help strengthen you mentally and physically to deal with the stressor and/or heal from the stressor.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 2. Eat nutritious foods 🍎. Maybe all hell is breaking lose at home or work and you feel like things are spinning out of control! Meal planning or preparation might be just the thing you need to feel like you have some control in your life. Additionally, getting adequate nutrition in times of stress will help strengthen you mentally and physically to deal with the stressor and/or heal from the stressor. Notice a pattern here? 😁 ⠀ ⠀ 3. Hydrate 💦! Drink lots of water during times of stress. It helps balance chemicals in your brain which will help with the influx of the stress hormone, cortisol...which, you guessed it, will help stregthen you mentally and physically to deal with the stressor and/or heal from the stressor. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ And that’s it! Three things you have some degree of control over during stressful times. Pick 1 or engage in all 3 depending on your situation until the difficult time passes, and when you can then reincorporate the other aspects of your wellness plan. Breathe in. Breathe out. #YouveGotThis! 💪🏻⠀ ⠀ #holistic #holistichealth #stressrelief #selfcare #breatheinbreatheout #whenallhellbreaksloose #controlwhatyoucan #howtodealwithstress #mentalhealthtips #ridethewave #thistooshallpass #Whole30 #whole30lifestyle #foodfreedom #copingskills #empoweryourself #piecebypeace

"Let’s talk about s😃x…”Me so h🎈rny 24/7?” Yes? Me too! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Congratulations! You are a highly creative human! Although religion (often just society in general) makes us believe it’s something “dirty” (insta would block this post if I didn’t insert emojis in those “dirty” words 🤦🏼‍♀️) se✂️ual energy is actually our creative force, it’s that same energy that makes genius art and solves problems, but we are never taught to actually use it in that way, so most of us just disperse it by getting it on with ourselves in the privacy of our bedroom (or a bumpy bus ride, what? never tried that one? 😂) or we quiet it down by getting it on with others! No shame in either (and trust me, I’m all about the se⚔️ual self exploration or in some wicked intimacy in love filled relationship) but I recently learned how absolutely wasteful that is, most of the time! There’s a way to direct that energy from your reproductive organs all the way up to your brain and get a boost of inspiration and a “high” of sorts! So next time you feel like you need to rub against something and/or hump it, focus on that energy center (with your mind! don’t touch anything😂) and with your awareness move that energy all the way up to your brain. Keep doing it. I guarantee you, you will energize your brain, your ideas and come up with solutions! Desire can consume us, trust me I know and that it the only reason why religion made it into something “bad” cause it can make us focus more on it than God. It’s not bad! It’s absoluty awesome! You just have to learn how to direct it, so it serves you not itself!” - Izabella ⠀ ...⠀ repost with @buffer from @izabellamiko 📷 by @elizabethobaker #twentyfourseven

Picture this: You’re a busy entrepreneur, you have a lot of moving parts in your business and when things get busy you tend to get into busy-ness mode instead of business mode. You start to pile more on your plate, you end up spending your time putting out fires, becoming inefficient, and not actually being productive and getting important revenue generating activities done. Do you recognize any of this? Of course you do. You’re an entrepreneur and we’ve all been there once or twice, or more! Sociologist Antonovsky wanted to know how people could withstand stress, what makes people healthy? 🧐💭 He came up with a concept called Coherence/Sense of Coherence.☝🏼 — Having a high sense of coherence/comprehensibility is essential to help cope with stress because it helps you make sense of your life. 🙇🏽‍♀️💡 Having a high sense of coherence has three components: 1️⃣ Comprehensibility: the extent to which your life makes sense. 2️⃣ Manageability: the expectation that things will work out as well as you can expect them to. 3️⃣ Meaningfulness: the extent to which you percieve your life/things that are happening in your life makes sense emotionally. — 📺 For more, check out the #MondayswithMaja episode "Coping with Stress through Psychological Hardiness" on Youtube! — #profmaja #professormaja #coherence #senseofcoherence #stress #stressmanagement #stressrelief #dealingwithstress #howtodealwithstress #copingwithanxiety #copingwithstress #mondaymotivation #motivation #motivationalspeech #mindfulness #sociology #socialscience #alwayslearning
