Okay y’all I got on a training this evening all about chakras, how to unblock them, and connecting your energy through mediation - basically all the things that make my heart so damn happy.
But at the end of the meditation she asked if anyone wanted their energy read - she’d tell you if any of your chakras were misaligned, and a little bit about it. Well y’all I volunteered - which is something I 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 do. But for some reason I decided to go for it.
Ya see, if you’ve been watching my stories you’ll know that lately I’ve been asking the Universe for some help. I’ve surrendered to the fact that I don’t have it all together, and I trust that the Universe can guide me in the right direction.
Then 3 days later, bam. This training is in my face.
So anyway, I volunteer and she told me while I am indeed very out of whack, my root chakra is what I need to focus on the most.
So while doing some research after hearing more about it, she isn’t wrong…
To give y’all a brief overview, your root chakra is the one of the base of your spine. This chakra is connected to our basic needs for food, water, shelter, a sense of belonging, emotional interconnection, that type of stuff.
Sometimes when something in our life that’s traumatic happens, it can threaten our sense of belonging in this world, and give us a deep sense of insecurity.. this can leave us restless or with a lack of energy, anxiety, panic, depression, anger, etc.
I related so goddamn hard y’all because that’s literally how I feel.
So balancing this chakra y’all - and best believe I’m about to be all up in this. Things like yoga, exercise, being outside and walking barefoot on the earth, meditation, and even root chakra based affirmations (I feel centered, I am home, I feel safe and secure, I trust myself). I’m sharing this y’all because I’m always looking at ways to better myself and be more of me. I plan on sharing a ton more about this type of stuff because passionate af over here.
