Today I wanted to shine a spotlight on a fragrance that doesn’t seem to get as much attention as it deserves, at least in comparison to other scents from the same brand: MEMO ITALIAN LEATHER.
In comparison to Memo’s other leather based fragrances, such as Russian Leather, French Leather and African Leather, MEMO ITALIAN LEATHER seems to get the least amount of attention. Like an understudy waiting in the wings for one of the leads to be unable to perform, ITALIAN LEATHER seems relegated to the periphery of the collection.
MEMO ITALIAN LEATHER is perhaps the softest and most approachable leather in the line. Picture driving through the Italian countryside, perhaps Tuscany, in a little red Alpha Romeo convertible. The top is down, the wind blowing through your hair, and you can smell the aroma of the soft leather interior of the car surrounding you. You grip the steering wheel while your other hand, clad in a luxurious driving glove, shifts the car into high gear. As you drive faster, the scent of the trees and the fields heightens your senses, making you temporarily forget your final destination as you relax and simply enjoy the journey.
MEMO ITALIAN LEATHER, though the softest of the Memo Leather Collection, is still warm and enveloping, without being overwhelming. There is something comforting about it, like your favorite leather jacket that you pull out on a chilly Fall day. When it ultimately dries down, it has a nice creamy, almost sweet texture about it. If you haven’t experienced MEMO ITALIAN LEATHER yet, perhaps it’s time you should.
