What I’ve started to think about more often is that opportunity is everywhere, at every moment of the day. There’s always a new opportunity to do something different, build something up, or start something new.
Our conscious mind can only process a fraction of the available information that’s bombarding is every single second. It’s said that we only process about 2,000bits vs the 4trillion bits (or some huge number) of information that come in every single second.
So, the opportunity is there, in the seemingly infinite stream of possibilities flowing to us every second. What stops us from seeing it is, what we do with the 2,000bits that we can process.
Where do we focus our attention?
What can we draw from the things that we see within that 2,000 bits of information?
What determines which 2,000bits of information we see out of the 4trillion?
My intuitive guess is: our predetermined filters, our attitude in the moment, our belief system, and our framework of how we see the world. All of these things culminate into creating a piece of the picture of what we can see available, and within that, there’s either opportunities of a lifetime, or lack of opportunity.
But, it’s the conditioning of the mind which creates where our attention is. Our training, and our belief system dictates the frame of references we have or the perspectives that we take when presented with something. .
And there really is no right or wrong..
It’s basically what you make of it. Is this preconceived belief going to help you achieve your dreams and goals or not?
If not, then maybe you should change it. But if it is going to help, then you want to strengthen that so you can start to automatically see more and more of what you’re looking for. This is the preparation process.
So, consider today: “Is your mind wired to finding the opportunity in front of you right now?”
You’re looking at it right now.
